ANCHOR: American University professor spooks his class on Halloween.

Former magician, Barry Gordemer, came to his class ready to perform a magic trick in light of the holiday.

Gordemer started his magic trick with a story. He says to the class...

Gordemer was jealous that the ghost could walk through walls and he couldn’t.

The ghost showed him a technique to make a solid object go through another.

Gordemer then demonstrated this concept to his class. 

He pulled out of his bag about seven unconnected metal rings.

Gordemer handed the rings to a few of his students. They checked to make sure the rings had no breaks or openings.

Gordemer told his students that the trick was in "the ring"– the noise that the ring makes.
