Gordemer Magic Trick

Anchor: Barry Gordemer has struck again. The famed communications professor performed another magic trick during his class at American University, once again baffling his students. Aaron Marks has the story.

The trick started the usual way, a quirky anecdote tailored to the audience.

Gordmer then transitioned into the trick.

He took separate metal rings. The rings had no cracks or openings in them whatsoever, yet he locked and unlocked them together with no effort.

Ben Link, a sophomore at American, acted as Gordemer’s muse. He held the two rings separately and was very impressed when they locked together in his hands.

Gordemer mastered the ring trick a long time ago, and even performed it for some friends in high places.

Of course, the trick didn’t fully capture everyone’s attention. Carly Ferreira, a sophomore public communication student, described her experience.

Another student in the class, sophomore Daniel Dubin, is an experienced magician himself. He’s actually performed the ring trick before.

Dubin said it took him many months and many failed attempts to master that trick. As for Gordemer:
