Global Warming Destroying America’s Economy

Global Warming is heating up, leaving our countries producers and scientists confused and with less money in the bank.

You hear scientists constantly talking about greenhouse gases and recycling everything you touch, but for what? Because it may be destroying our economy and the way that this country functions.

            Towns are dealing with heat waves and tornados. The problem is that scientists are having a hard time figuring out why these big weather changes are happening. 

What’s Happening?

            Certain food and crops have to be produced in certain types of weather. Maple trees are one type of food that must be planted when it is warm out in order to grow properly. Peter Purinton is a maple syrup planter in Vermont who planted his trees to soon during a heat wave last spring. This short-lived season cost him half of what he made the previous year.

            Weather conditions are also heating up and scientists do not know how to explain it. They think it could be from energy and water vaporing coming into the atmosphere. Having these two come in could be changing the way our weather works. 

Where Do Greenhouse Gases Come In?

            These are the types of gases that the public always hears about. These gases are changing the way that the Arctic works. The Arctic is heating up faster than the rest of the world. This heat has made the sea ice cap in the Arctic shrink. Try and imagine an area that was once a patch of ice the size of Europe as a patch of open water. That is what is happening to our world

Is It Even Clear?

            Scientists are being straight up with people and saying that they don’t have a concrete answer to why these changes in the weather are happening. A few of the many possibilities are as follows:

•     Greenhouse gases
•     Water Vapor & Energy
•     Loss of sea ice

There are a number of reasons to why our climate is doing backflips. It’s important to find the reason and fix it because people are losing profits in their businesses and the weather system is no longer consistent.
