Some DC college students were treated to a trick this Halloween during their communication class.

Professor at American University and Senior Producer for NPR, Berry Gordemer, performed a magic trick where he seemingly made several,solid metal rings become connected. Gordemer began the trick by talking about an internship he had with a ghost during college. Through the internship, he was able to learn how ghosts can pass through solid objects like walls. Gordemer then used this knowledge to create today's magic trick where two solid objects pass through each other.
A student in the class, Ben Link, said the following after the event: :
This isn’t the first time Gordemer has brought out his past experience in the magic industry to surprise his students. Nick Tedesco compared the previous trick, in which Gordemer stuck a needle through a balloon without popping it, to today’s trick:
While many students were left in wonderment of Gordemer’s performance, one student wasn’t so easily fascinated. Zoe Berling says
Even if some students weren't impressed with the magic, they were surprised to find out that Gordermer performed the vary same trick at the White House for Bill Clinton.
It has been another magical day of class, leaving students wondering if Professor Gordemer has any more tricks- or treats- up his sleeves.
