Dubin Web Writing

The Society of American Magicians (SAM) has a website that engages its current and prospective members. The homepage's slideshow informs viewers about upcoming and past events. It is very "user friendly" since a big red button says, "BECOME A MEMBER." It is easy to find a  location on the website via the tabs. The bottom of the homepage is particularly accessible as it displays recent news, blog articles, and parts of the SAM newsletter, "M-U-M." The website's content contains many links that will either direct its audience to other parts of the site or to another magic-related website altogether. As a magician, I really appreciate SAM's clarity and sleek in the website.

Invisible Children's website is eye-catching and sleek. I admire the site because of its user friendly status. There are three tabs in the middle of the page that explain ways for visitors to get involved and learn. Moreover, the various copies on the site are extremely brief yet detailed. They go straight to main points in order to hold the viewers' attention. The website is full of various media such as website text, blogs, video, newsletter signups, and more. It is an extremely effective advocacy and nonprofit website because it engages users on all levels.
