Venezia's Radio Story

ANCHOR: Famed magician Barry Gordemer is back on the center stage, with a Halloween trick and his usual antics. But this time, he’s not fooling everyone.

Ryan Venezia has the story.

RYAN: His tale is still magical, with ghosts and lots of puns.

He made the audience laugh, and seemed to amaze them by putting two solid rings together. He even had an entertaining backstory, about his time training with a ghost.

But this time, Gordemer didn’t impress everyone, including communications student Carly Ferreira.

During his presentation on Halloween, Gordemer put solid rings together in a chain link. He had two people hold them to prove his authenticity. One of them, Kelsey Giordano, was amazed she couldn't figure the trick out.

However, some in the audience, like Haley Walsh, didn’t like the show because they had seen the trick before.

And there was even somebody who knew how the trick worked: Brian Rhodes, a sophomore student at American University. 

Rhodes wasn’t impressed with Gordemer’s showmanship, either. He said that he gives a better performance than the famed magician, and was one of many who disliked the performance.
