Zoe Berling:Halloween with Gordemer

Students of Barry Gordemer's Writing for Communications course never know what to expect when they enter the class. His innovative style brings new and exciting experiences to the teaching environment.   Zoe Berling reports on his latest lesson. The sound of magic filled the air this past Halloween as Gordemer began his class with a trick. The students watched as he waved several silver rings in the air and explained what he was about to do. Before demonstrating his abilities, Gordemer passed one of his rings to the student nearest to him. Of course the students could find no breaks in the rings. However, Gordemer was still able to link them together, demonstrating his claim that he could make solid objects pass through other solid objects. The students were impressed by the show, but they couldn't figure the trick out. Nick Tedesco, one of Gordemer's students, saw the whole thing.
