Another website that I constantly go to whenever I am on my computer is the blog, The College Prepster. The blog was started by a former Georgetown student when she was a Freshman and she has been blogging ever since. The information that she posts about is very diverse and interesting, making her reader audience larger than 20,000 people. The blog has transformed since she has grown older; however, the content is still just as interesting to read. It shows how she is maturing and that she can now write from a different perspective now that she is out of college. The blog discusses topics as simple as organizing for exam time and study tips, and topics as deep as taking a break in life and unplugging from electronics.
I feel that the most important element in writing for the web is writing for a large audience, not a specific one. If you write for a specific type of audience (sports fans for example), your website will never have a chance to grow to it's full potential. Of course it's okay to write some articles on certain topics; however, if there is no variety, there is no room for growth.
