Cassie Smith's Magical Event

Anchor: Barry Gordemer’s class was in for a treat on Thursday. The American University professor, a retired magician, performed one of his magic tricks. For more on this story we go to Cassie Smith.

When Barry Gordemer walked into the classroom with four steel rings the class knew it wouldn’t be an ordinary day.

After proving to the students that there was nothing unusual about the rings he began the trick.

Reactions in the class ranged from amused to confused.

Jane, a student of Gordemer’s, couldn’t figure out how he did it.

Another student, Zoey, wondered if there was more to the trick.

This isn’t the first magic trick Gordemer’s students have seen. Earlier in October he performed the infamous “needle through balloon trick.”

After seeing both tricks Ryan decided he liked this one better.

The class looks forward to seeing more magic tricks in the future from their talented professor.

For Comm-200 News, I’m Cassie Smith.
